The song from the 2009 BMW E92 335i X-Drive Coupe. It was admittedly the wrong video to have used this song for, considering it's about a person's relationship with their money pit of a car, and how the person would simply rather give up on the car than keep sinking cash into it.
That said, the studio session was wonderful, since it gave me an opportunity to work with my brother and sister. My sister has long been the singer in our family, and I've always looked up to and attempted to emulate her. And my brother has always been a multi-talented guy in his own right, so I really wanted to get everyone together to create a family heirloom of sorts.
lyrics
Lyrics:
Love is blind to warning signs
Bright red flags they get to hide, behind rose-colored glasses' sight
Sometimes the things we love, they don't love us
Things we want, we couldn't trust, takes some time to readjust
And if you want to let it go, we'll let it go
No one has to say another word about it
We can go our own separate ways and find a place where we belong
Cuz I don't have the energy or anything
Left to wanna fix what's wrong about it
It's a miracle to last this long
The time we have is running out
No story left to right
Everything is running low
A victim of the highs
I don't give a damn about
Just who's wrong or right
I don't wanna win the round
I'm tired of the fight
Common sense has stepped aside, pain sometimes you let it slide,
Some they call it compromise
Cuz I can't take you anywhere, it's just my cross to bear
No one said that life is fair
And if you want to let it go, we'll let it go
No one has to say another word about it
We can go our own separate ways and find a place where we belong
Cuz I don't have the energy or anything
Left to wanna fix what's wrong about it
It's a miracle to last this long
The time we have is running out
No story left to right
Everything is running low
A victim of the highs
I don't give a damn about
Just who's wrong or right
I don't wanna win the round
I'm tired of the fight
Baby girl, just let it go
Don't act like an old Geo Metro
If you drive stick, I'm hoping that it's manual
Girl, just let it flow (let it flow)
Your engine, I can't trust you
You left me at Wal-Mart
What has it come to?
If it was Target, you know I would have loved ya
But since it was Wal-Mart, I'm feeling kinda flustered
White trash, just seen white ass
Thought you'd come first, but I came last
One of the symptoms of living fast
Girl, I just wish you took your foot off the gas
But if not, I ain't wifin' no thot
Gave me a lemon
But I'm prayin' it's not
But you'll never know til you put the keys in the slot
Hot damn, but I'm prayin' it's not
The time we have is running out
No story left to right
Everything is running low
A victim of the highs
I don't give a damn about
Just who's wrong or right
I don't wanna win the round
I'm tired of the fight
